The Turaida Museum Reserve offers in its English version of the website under the section PUBLICATIONS / E-Book to acquaint yourself with the latest Museum Reserve’s publication: A Guide to the Exhibition  “The Turaida Museum Reserve in Time and Space”, published at the end of 2019. The author of the publication is Anna Jurkāne, director of the Turaida Museum Reserve and artist Nauris Dainis. You can get acquainted with the e-book HERE.

The guide will be useful to anyone who will visit the exhibition "The Turaida Museum Reserve in Time and Space" arranged in  the Turaida Parish Magazine. It will also serve as a guide for anyone who wants to understand the importance of heritage preservation and the Museum Reserve’s role in it.

The author of the guide and the exhibition is Anna Jurkāne, director of the Museum Reserve: “The exhibition tells about the Turaida Museum Reserve, which is the only museum of this kind in Latvia. It was created to preserve for future generations one of the oldest state formations in Latvia - the complex of cultural monuments of the Historical Center of Turaida, which has been declared a Specially Protected Cultural Monument with a particularly historic, scientific and cultural value as a part of the national wealth of the Republic of Latvia.

The aim of the exhibition is to provide the public with an opportunity to get to know the Turaida Museum Reserve as an institution, by demonstrating  the meaning and nature of its activities in the field of natural and cultural heritage, as well as to highlight the diversity of the Museum Reserve’s activities. ”

In order to provide the guide available to a wider audience, an English publication has been prepared. The book can be purchased in the Visitor Center of the Turaida Museum Reserve or by contacting the Museum Reserve’s  administration by e-mail: turaida.muzejs@apollo.lv. After transfer is made, it is possible to receive the book by post, parcel terminal or courier service. The price of the book - 6.80 Euros.
