The Sigulda castle ruins at sundown from the opposite bank of the River Gauja – about 300 metres to the south from the
manor-house of the prince Liven – nowadays Krimulda sanatorium. Downwards from the castle ruins is ancient road which
leads to the raft pier of the River Gauja. The picture does not provide some new information on castle ruins of Livonian Order,
but it sould be evaluated as an outstanding work of art.
