Visiting the Chief Judge of Turaida


Educative programme „ Visiting the Chief Judge of Turaida”  Turaida Museum offers an educational programme „Visiting the Chief Judge of Turaida”. During programme visitors are offered to learn about the history of Latvia from 14th-16th century in exciting way – as a role play in Turaida Castle, feeling fragrance of history through the smell of wax and enchantment of antiquities. Under guidance of Turaida bailiff and clerk, you will learn medieval manners and writing skills with special writing tools – stylus on the wax tables, and make yourselves a letter to Turaida bailiff. The story about Middle Ages in Turaida will be supplemented by medieval music and firelight, as well as guided tour in Turaida Castle exhibitions.

The programme is offered to: • 4th -12th form pupils • tourist groups (Latvian, Russian, English and German languages) • families and friends – special moment for birthday party or other celebration • employees of enterprises – untraditional activity for team consolidation and education
